I’m leaning towards S equoia mainly because V8.
Gas prices be damned.
Thoughts?

They are very different beasts. Why not GX?

Odd choices to compare.
If you tow and off-road, Sequoia. If not, MDX.

I have GX. It’s a nice 2005 model. It may get on the list as well. I have to go look at them.

I don’t off- road... but i don’t want to exclude that option...

If you already have a 2005 GX then you’ve pretty much already test driven the new one. Not much has changed.

The MDX will be a more fun car and the
aluminum beak is a plus.

I was fighting this same dilemma, MDX vs GX vs Sequoia. I chose Land Rover because why not live life on the edge.

Only thing they may have added is one thing I hate the most - touchpad/mouse pad for infotainment controls.
I drove NX as loaner. That thing gets on my nerves. Might have to tape over it with electrical tape or something to disable it.

MDX

You have to show your work. How did you come up with this answer.

I wouldn’t want to tool around in anything as large as a Sequoia so the MDX wins by default.

Would never choose or even put Land Rover on the radar. I’ve seen Doug Demuro’s debacle with his Range Rover. No thanks

Yeah. MDX is a bit smaller. I don’t mind bigger.

I would probably rip it off and put some sort of aftermarket grill on.
I need to see which one is funnest 0-60. Sequoia has the most HPs I think

A) not one of possible choices
B) if it were, it would be Suburban.
C) If it were a suburban, it would be Suburban HD
D) If it were Suburban HD, it would be too pricey - price of 2 MDXs or Sequoias

Doug’s saga was dramatized for effect. Anything 2012+ isn’t that bad.

Depends on what you’re going to do with it. If towing or going off road, Sequoia . If it will stay on road and not tow much of anything, MDX.

Let me rephrase that. Yukon > Suburban > both choices

The NX is a dreadful vehicle.

indeed.

OK. I’ll bite. Why is Yukon better than both selections of Suburban?
If Yukon is soo good, why not Yukon XL? Why not Yukon XL Denali?

Your parameters (or scarcity thereof) don’t lend to catering an answer for you.

Parameters are not required to select one out of two. When you do select one of the two, you must explain why you selected one and not other. I want your reasoning. Not mine

Oh I mean the whole Yukon range is better than the Suburban range and both are better than the MDX or Sequoia . The size and trim level is down to what you would want to pay for. I much prefer the GMC trims over the Chevy trims and personally always have better experiences with GMC dealers than Chevy dealers.
Besides that I prefer the GM V8 and the way they build their vehicles. Full size truck frame, better transmissions, and my god much better styling.
